The Adams County Community Foundation is pleased to once again be offering scholarship opportunities for Adams County High School seniors- many of which are specifically for Fairfield students!  I’ve attached a list of all the available scholarships offered this year, including a breakdown by school and eligibility criteria. I’m also listing in the table below a number Fairfield specific scholarships

Elizabeth Musselman Memorial Scholarship

The Elizabeth Musselman Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Fairfield Area High School senior who is active in their school, church and community, and intends to pursue post-secondary education.

Fairfield Alumni Scholarship

Education

The Fairfield Alumni Scholarship is awarded to a Fairfield Area High School senior who demonstrates academic achievement, is involved in their community and intends to study education at a post-secondary school. This scholarship is applied to second semester tuition costs upon satisfactory completion of the first semester.

Adams Electric Cooperative Scholarship (Fairfield)

Adams Electric Member

Adams Electric awards scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each to high school seniors, who are children of co-op members. The cooperative works in partnership with the Adams County Community Foundation to administer these scholarships. To qualify for a high school scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. The student, a senior in high school, must have at least one parent or guardian currently receiving electric service from Adams Electric with an account in good standing, and the parent or guardian must live in Pennsylvania at the time of the student's application for a scholarship.

2. The student must be enrolled in or accepted into a post-secondary program or institution, so that funds can be disbursed directly to the school or program in the student's name.

3. The student should maintain a cumulative high school grade-point average of 2.0 (80 percent) or above.

4. The student should show a need for financial assistance.

5. The recipient shall be allowed to retain their scholarship for one year from the date of selection, even if they have dropped or are auditing courses if they are still incurring expenses equal to or greater than the amount of the scholarship.

George B. Inskip Memorial Scholarship

Education, Nursing, or Healthcare

The George B. Inskip Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Fairfield Area High School senior who demonstrates leadership in school, church and community, and intends to pursue a course of study in education, nursing or any allied healthcare profession at a post-secondary school.

J. W. Martin Memorial Math Scholarship

The J.W. Martin Memorial Math Scholarship is awarded to a Fairfield Area High School senior who demonstrates good mathematic performance, participates in community service and intends to pursue post-secondary education. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years.

Albert J. Lentz American Legion Post 202 Scholarship

Fairfield

 

The Albert J. Lentz American Legion Post 202 Scholarship is awarded to a Fairfield Area High School senior who demonstrates academic achievement, is involved in their community and intends to pursue post-secondary education. Applicants must also demonstrate a connection or relationship with a veteran.
